To all who have been following the No Wimpy Girls Photography,
Our 52 week project (photo a week) has sadly come to an end. 52 weeks went by way to fast. We had so much fun sharing our passion with each other and with our wonderful followers that we plan to do another 52 week project starting January 1, 2014.
Until then have a wonderful, safe rest of the year.Happy Clicking!
Pippin in B&W
52 Weeks! It’s been a fun ride! Didn’t have time to do any special shooting these last few weeks. My puppy, Pippin who has grown into a fine young man!
Used NIK Silver Efex pro for B&W editing.
Kiss a Frog
There’s a saying “a girl has to kiss many frogs before finding her prince.” I think this is probably true for a lot of women :-). I didn’t kiss this frog, but I did try out my new lens (Canon 18-135mm) on him. He was hanging onto the side of our camper. I love his camouflage markings and his toe pads. Cool creatures!
It’s been another great year of NWG Photography!
My settings were 1/80 sec, f/11, ISO 200, and spot metering mode.

I am so glad I did not cancel this kayaking trip. I almost canceled due to the fact it was a 2 hour drive which means we had to get up early. My daughter almost backed out to but as you can see in the photo she is so glad she didn’t. We went to Blue Springs State Park on this beautiful morning. I wanted to go before mid-November because the park closes this portion of the spring from Nov – March. Evidently this is the manatee refuge during that time. I was hoping to see at least one when we went. We saw 15+ manatees (including baby calfs). It was an awesome time. One baby calf took a liking to my daughter and kept pushing her kayak towards the banks. You would have thought they would have tipped our kayaks but they were very gentle. The water was so clear you could see them underneath rolling around and itching their bodies on the submerged logs. Looking forward to our next kayaking trip.
Took this with my IPhone5, f2.4, 1/60, ISO50. I cropped to remove my kayak paddle out of the picture. Applied a little Topaz Detail and Topaz DeNoise and warmed the picture.
Hard to believe 52 weeks has gone by already. Can’t wait for our next 52 weeks. Stay Tuned and Happy Clicking! 🙂
The Mad Joker
Actually, it’s only Becky :-). Becky, Robin and I went to a girls only Halloween luncheon given by one of our fellow Camera Club members. We all had a great time. Happy Halloween everyone!
This was taken with my Panasonic Lumix point and shoot. I did apply a Gaussian blur filter on the background and cropped a little with Photoshop Elements.
Seen Better Days
My husband and I were scouting for land in Kenansville and I saw this in the distance and fired off a few shots with my EF70-200mm f/2.8L USM. Looks like it’s still in use or they just left it there. Maybe it was a house at one time. Photographers love the old, overgrown and dilapidated. Makes for interesting photos. 🙂
I used NIK software to edit. Settings were 1/250s, ISO 250, F/6.3, 200mm.
Walking around my yard playing with 50mm lens. Came across this beautiful little pale blue flower. I just love how this lens when it is wide (f1.4) open it gives that nice creamy blurry background so the subject just pops. My settings were f1.4, 1/2500s, ISO200. Sharpened a bit, tweaked the white balance, ran it through Topaz Detail, and cropped a little.
Happy Clicking 🙂
